About the event
In this innovative and exciting interactive experience, you are invited to taste and litmus test different types of water at various PH levels, where you will learn and recognise, as your tastes for coffee develop, what difference this makes in the final cup.
To eliminate possible human error, all coffees brewed with the various water types will be made in the flashy and iconic Siphon brewer in The Nocturne, which is a sight to behold and a treat for the senses, hailed as the 'world's best way to taste coffee.' But with all these different water choices, including Buxton's own fresh spring water, will the Siphon be able to make all the coffees a drinkable delight, or will waters such as Sparkling and Ocean sour the experience?
Whilst the optimal PH for coffee brewing is 7.5, and the lower it goes the more bitterness you will taste, we will investigate…
